Emotional Healing and Spiritual Freedom (Christ-Centered) Approach

There are identifiable reasons why people exhibit destructive behavior, often instigated by loved ones, family members, and their surrounding community. If left unaddressed, these issues can destroy a person’s life as well as affect those around them. Emotional healing can be a painful but necessary process, requiring the uncovering and proper processing of root-level problems. Contributors to these issues can include abandonment, a parent’s death, divorce, an emotionally absent parent, or experiences of abuse. These wounds often go unnoticed until they manifest as unhealthy behaviors.

Emotional Healing - Breaking Unhealthy Strongholds

Emotional strongholds are not inherently negative; however, unhealthy strongholds are typically detrimental connections between a person’s feelings and faulty beliefs. Our beliefs shape how we think, feel, and act. If our actions are causing problems, it is essential to identify the faulty beliefs that led us there.

Breaking Unhealthy Soul Ties

A soul tie can be beneficial when connected to someone we should be close to, such as a spouse or family member. Conversely, it is unhealthy to carry the burdens of previous relationships. Whenever soul or sexual intimacy occurs outside of God’s plan, it can shift the relationship from a healthy connection to being chained to that soul. As stated in scripture, the two become one, and unhealthy soul ties can hinder future healthy connections.

Couples and Marriage Intensive:

For couples in crisis, a one-hour session may feel frustratingly slow in providing healing and resolution. This pace can amplify doubts and fears about the possibility of healing. At the Agape Center, we also focus on exploring and strengthening your faith in Jesus.

We structure each Couples Intensive to meet our clients’ unique needs:

Half-Day: (3 hours) A Mini Intensive is an excellent way to jumpstart your therapy, condense weekly sessions into a longer format, or address a particularly difficult topic in one sitting.

1 Day: (6 Hours) We will deeply analyze your relationship to show you exactly where you are and how you got there.

2 Day Intensive (12 Hours) Some couples require more time. A two-day format allows us to delve deeper into your relationship dynamics and help you find the motivation and strength for change.
